We believe that international collaborations are necessary to support the exchange of ideas, innovation, and creativity. Our faculty and students are striving to promote and perform in the global art and design community through international scholarships, courses, research, conferences, exhibitions, and fashion shows.
Following are the two recent International Fashion shows where our student’s work was exhibited and recognized with certificates and press coverage on the International forum.
The students of SFADA participated in the ‘Fashion Talent Show’ at ‘Runway Dubai Fashion Show’, which is the leading international fashion show platform in the Middle East. The Fashion talent Contest was held at Sofitel the Palm Hotel, Dubai. Students were selected after the screening of their concepts and interviews. This was the first time that Pakistan had been represented at the Runway Dubai Fashion Show.
Our students competed with the fashion designers from India, Iraq, Fiji, Dubai, Jordan, the Philippines, Bhutan, Palestine, and Syria. The team from GIFT University worked hard for this competition and developed highly stylish and pleasing garments. The participants gave an amazing performance in this competition and put the audience in awe with their skills in garments designing and their fashion sense. The performance was witnessed by the media, international designers, Dubai dignitaries, and celebrities. The jurors praised the garments of the competitors and appreciated the efforts of the young designers.
Aberdeen Fashion week aimed to bring the best designers from around the globe on one platform in Scotland. This year, the fashion show was held online due to the ongoing epidemic. GIFT University and Pakistan, for the first time, had lined up among the Digital Designers at the Aberdeen Fashion Week. Our faculty M. Fawad Noori led 5 of the brilliant students from SFADA in a group to present their Thesis Collection.
Wuhan Textile University, China
SFADA is proud to announce that The Wuhan Textile University, China has offered an international academic scholarship for our graduates. Recently, 4 of our SFADA students have been granted a fully funded Presidential scholarship by Wuhan Textile University, China.
